Weekend Book Street to enrich reading culture in Hanoi

The newly-launched event titled “Weekend Book Street” will be one of the highlights of Hanoi Book Street in Hoan Kiem District at the weekend.

This is an initiative of the Hanoi People’s Committee to enrich the operation of Hanoi Book Street every weekend, making the place an attractive destination for Hanoians and foreign visitors.

The premiere program will begin this weekend, from December 31 to January 2, to celebrate New Year’s Eve 2023.

There will be a host of activities, such as book launching ceremonies, instructions on how to read books effectively, craft workshops, bookbinding, cover drawing, a calligraphy contest, and instruction on making artistic flower arrangements.

In addition, some gastronomic events will also be organized, such as the practice of the Vietnamese tea ceremony; street cooking demonstrations; the corner of Hanoi specialties, among others.

Famous local and international artists will also give some performances and autograph books, enriching the spiritual life of Hanoi residents and visitors during the weekend.

Hundreds of Japanese students participated in an international exchange day on October 14 at Tomigaya Elementary School in Tokyo, Japan. At the event, five young Vietnamese people won awards in the singing contest for the Vietnam – Japan friendship song “Tomodachi – Tinh ban” (Tomodachi – Friendship) on the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. “Connecting Hanoi’s Art Scene: Bringing Together 80 International Artists from 30 Countries”

The Hanoi Art Connecting is happening at the Hanoi Architectural University from October 18 to 24. Vietnamese artist Vu Tuan Dat will be participating in Hanoi Art Connecting 2023. Tuyen Lam Receives UNESCO Recognition as Outstanding Asia-Pacific Tourism Destination

According to the notification, Tuyen Lam will officially be bestowed with the title during the Vietnam-India cultural and economic exchange, as well as a ceremony to honor intellectuals, managers, scientists, social activists, entrepreneurs, and businesses in Asia-Pacific. This prestigious event will take place in New Delhi on August 3rd.
