Ca Mau City has up to seven  President Ho Chi Minh Temples, with the one in Ward 1 considered the largest of its kind. Many locals and tourists visit the site each year to express gratitude to the late president. The President Ho Chi Minh Temple in Ngoc Hien district was built on September 10, 1969, eight days after his death. It is the first built in Ca Mau City.
