Vietnam’s Baseball Club Championship Open Only to Local Players

This annual professional tournament aims to promote baseball and discover potential talent within the national and local teams. The 2023 edition, scheduled from July 26 to 30 in Hanoi, includes several significant changes compared to the previous year. In an effort to enhance competition, the organizer has expanded the number of participating baseball clubs from eight to eleven. However, international players will not be allowed to participate in this year’s championship. During a press briefing, VBSF chairman Tran Duc Phan acknowledged that baseball is a less popular sport in Vietnam. He explained that in the 2022 edition, foreign players were permitted to join the competition to add diversity and enhance the level of play. However, this year’s edition will solely feature Vietnamese players. Vietnamese ethnic minority groups’ culture introduced in France

The exhibits were collected by Alain Dussarps, Vice President of the French-Vietnam Friendship Association (AAFV), in his visits to Vietnam. This is the first time these unique items have been introduced in Saintes, leaving a good impression on visitors. The exhibition is one of the activities of the programme “Le Vietnam s’invite à Saintes” (Vietnam comes to Saintes) to introduce Vietnamese culture to local people within the framework of a programme organised by Association Vietnam 17 to celebrate the 50th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries. Nhung Lehoux, President of Association Vietnam 17, underlined the importance of preserving and promoting traditional culture values of ethnic minority groups of Vietnam, hoping that more French visitors and overseas Vietnamese will visit Vietnam to  explore and experience the country’s culture.
